11/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - Following a proposal by Socialist MEPs, the European Parliament economic and monetary affairs committee, on Wednesday called on the European Commission to launch a wide-ranging initiative to help save jobs in this time of economic crisis. The Parliamentary committee wants it to be possible to set up a company anywhere in the EU within three days and cost-free, and to enhance vocational training programmes for the least well qualified workers.
