13/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - The Forum européen des enterprises générales, in cooperation with the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is holding a conference on “Developing the construction sector: responding to the challenges of sustainable development”. Under discussion will be the industry's ability, in terms of competitiveness, to adopt the principles of sustainable development and the structural measures to be taken in this period of economic and financial crisis. The event, to be chaired by Laurence Francqueville, Chief Editor of the Bulletin europeéen du Moniteur, will take place in the EESC offices in Brussels on Tuesday 27 January from 2.30pm to 6.00pm.
