07/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - The first annual Intermodes Congress, devoted to passenger transport intermodality, will take place in Brussels on 4-5 February. The opening ceremony will be held on 4 February with Etienne Schouppe, Belgian Secretary of State for Mobility, Pascal Smet, Transport and Infrastructure Minister for the Brussels-Capital Region, and Vojteck Kocourek, Czech Deputy Transport Minister, who will speak on behalf of the Czech Presidency of the EU. This first international meeting devoted entirely to intermodality in transport will be focused on the new EU member states.
