18/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - During a meeting on Tuesday 16 December, the Council of Health Ministers of the EU adopted conclusions on health security and public health policies for fighting against age-related neuro-degenerative diseases. This second draft draws the European Commission and member states' attention to the need to take into account the increasing incidence of Alzheimers and other diseases that cause high dependency in an ageing European population.
