18/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 17 December, the European Commission approved the proposed acquisition of Martinair by KLM, both Dutch airlines active in the transport of passengers and cargo. The Commission was concerned by the possible negative effect on passenger transport between Amsterdam and the Dutch Antilles but after the in-depth investigation, concluded that the transaction would have only a limited market impact.
