12/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - On the sidelines of the European Council, Nicolas Sarkozy formally announced the appointment of Bruno Lemaire as the new French Secretary of State for European Affairs, replacing Jean-Pierre Jouyet. As of 15 December, Jouyet will take over the chairmanship of the French Financial Markets Authority.
