Brussels, 20/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - The permanent representatives of the countries belonging to the Schengen Area (joint committee) gave their endorsement, on Wednesday 19 November, to Switzerland's entry into the Schengen area of free movement. Such membership will be effective as of 12 December but this date is, however, only valid for land borders.
