Brussels, 14/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner Jacques Barrot gave EUROPE an “indicative, non-exhaustive” timetable of the measures to be taken in the area of Justice, Liberty and Security in 2009 (L=legislative): - December 2008: asylum (review of Dublin regulation/review of Reception directive: Eurodac regulation) (L); - early 2009: asylum (setting up of support office) (L); - March 2009: legal migration (seasonal workers and paid trainees) (L); - April 2009: asylum (review of procedures and qualifications directives) (L); - June 2009: assessment of partnerships for mobility; - July 2009: European re-settlement framework (L). Moving towards a European area of law (civil and criminal judicial cooperation): - March 2009: wills and inheritance (applicable law/courts/European certificate of heir) (L); - May 2009: European strategy on mutual recognition of legal measures; - July 2009: criminal law procedural guarantees (L); - September 2009: framework decision on help for victims. Tackling crime: - March 2009: review of framework decisions on human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children (L); - June 2009: chemical, biological and nuclear threat package (action plan), Eurodac management (L); - September 2009: Cybercrime framework decision (L).
