30/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - Energy cooperation between the EU/Ukraine was at the centre of the meeting on 29 October in Brussels between the European Commissioner for energy, Andris Piebalgs, and the Ukrainian foreign minister, Volodymyr Ohryzko, who had an exchange of views on implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed on 1 December 2005. Piebalgs and Ohryzko also agreed to launch negotiations in November on Ukraine joining the Energy Community. (E.H./trans/rh)
