29/09/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 25 September, the Council of Ministers of the EU adopted, without debate, the regulation banning exports of metallic mercury, cinnabar ore, mercury chloride, mercury oxide and mixtures of metallic mercury with other substances and compounds where the mercury content is at least 95%/mass/mass from March 2011. These substances will have to guarantee optimum storage safety standards. (O.L./transl.rh)
