Draft amended directive on renewable energy disappoints biofuels industry but meets with satisfaction of environmental NGOs

Brussels, 12/09/2008 (Agence Europe) - Reactions from interest groups to the draft directive on the promotion and use of renewable energy sources (“renewables” directive), amended by vote of the European Parliament's energy committee on 11 September (EUROPE 9738), are divided between displeased biofuels producers and pleased environmental NGOs.
