30/07/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 19 September in Rome, the European Commission and the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance are jointly organising a high-level conference entitled "Strengthening delivery of Lisbon reform". The focus will be on the use of analytical tools and evaluation frameworks to enhance the delivery and implementation of structural reform under the Lisbon strategy. The conference should be seen against the background of the start of a new 3-year Lisbon cycle to run from 2008 to 2010, where the focus remains on the implementation of reform commitments and priorities established in 2005 when the Lisbon Strategy for Growth and Jobs was relaunched.
