Brussels, 30/07/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has just launched an on-line database providing comprehensive information on micro-economic enterprise reform in the EU27. This database instrument, entitled MICREF, will monitor and analyse the reform process in the context of the Lisbon Agenda. It will also provide information on the development and implementation of micro-economic reform (at both consumer and enterprise levels) that are likely to have a significant impact on growth. The database is organised around four major areas: open and competitive markets; business environment and entrepreneurship; and the knowledge-based economy. The database also includes a set of descriptive features of these reform measures to facilitate cross-country comparisons of priorities.
