Antonio Tajani hopes for success in mediation of maritime package

Brussels, 28/07/2008 (Agence Europe) - On the eve of the new European Commission and a few weeks after receiving the portfolio of Commissioner for Transport, Antonio Tajani, has taken on board the major challenges announced by his predecessor Jacques Barrot. Mr Tajani does not intend to change the Commission agenda but in the follow-up to the three referendum “no” votes, the new Commissioner believes it important to bring the European institutions closer to Europe's citizens.
