29/07/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 29 July 2008, the European Commission gave the go-ahead to the acquisition of sole control of De La Rue plc of the UK by The Carlyle Group of the USA. Carlyle is a private equity investment group. De La Rue is active in cash systems business: cash handling technology solutions. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (A.B.)
