29/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday evening, the president of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, received the “2008 Transatlantic Business Award”, which is awarded annually by the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU). Barroso was awarded the prize for his commitment to developing transatlantic relations, particularly the creation of the Transatlantic Economic Council (TEC.) (H.B.)
