Strasbourg, 21/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 21 May, the European Parliament adopted its calendar for 2009. Due to the European elections on 4-7 June, there will only be eleven plenary sessions in Strasbourg, two of them in March, and four sessions in Brussels.
The complete programme is as follows: 12-15 January in Strasbourg, 2-5 February in Strasbourg, 18-19 February in Brussels, 9-12 March and 23-26 March in Strasbourg, 1-2 April in Brussels, 21-24 April in Strasbourg (due to the Orthodox Easter, this session will begin on Tuesday and end on the Friday), 4-7 May in Strasbourg, 14-16 July in Strasbourg (constitutive session of new legislature, from Tuesday to Thursday), 14-17 September in Strasbourg, 7-8 October in Brussels, 19-22 October in Strasbourg, 11-12 November in Brussels, 23-26 November in Strasbourg, 14-17 December in Strasbourg.
