Brussels, 19/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission will adopt legislative proposals on the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) “health check” in Strasbourg on Tuesday 20 May. There will be no miracle cure for the rise in the prices of raw materials and food, apart from attempting to produce more by getting rid of tools that are no longer relevant: set-aside, quotas, intervention, and payment linked to production.
