23/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - Eleven members of the European Parliament agriculture committee and one member of the delegation for relations with Mercosur will travel to Brasilia and Goiânia in Brazil from 27 April to 1 May 2008. Among the issues they will discuss are biofuels and beef exports. They will meet Brazilian MPs, Agriculture Minister Reinhold Stephanes and farmers' representatives. There schedule also includes visits to farms, a cattle ranch and an abattoir. The members of this delegation include British Conservative Neil Parish, who chairs the agriculture committee, Esther Herranz García (EPP-ED, Spain), Catherine Neris (PES, France), Niels Busk (ALDE, Denmark), Friedrich-Wilhelm Graefe zu Baringdorf (Greens/EFA) and Richard Ashworth (EPP-ED, UK) who is the member of the delegation for relations with Mercosur.
