Peter Mandelson and Cariforum praise EPAs for development - warning against food protectionism

Brussels, 17/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - Given Califorum's high hopes for growth and development opportunities offered by the Economic Partnership Agreement between the EU and the Caribbean region, European Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson, on 17 April, repeated his optimism and faith in the ability of EPAs to be genuine instruments for growth in the six ACP (Africa/Caribbean/Pacific) regions which are negotiating.
