Technical adjustment of financial framework for 2009

Brussels, 19/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 14 March, the European Commission adopted a proposal for a decision on adjustment of the financial framework to take account of implementation and the technical adjustment for 2009 in line with movements in GNI (gross national income). The overall ceiling on commitment appropriations for 2009, taking into account implementation (i.e. €136 211 million) equals 1.04% of EU GNI.
