Brussels, 10/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 7 March, the European Commission cleared the proposed acquisition of certain assets of the UK-based brewer Scottish & Newcastle (S&N) by the Danish company Carlsberg.
Carlsberg and S&N are currently partners in a joint venture, Baltic Beverages Holding AB ('BBH') which produces and distributes beer and other beverages in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and in several other member countries of the Community of Independent States (CIS).
