10/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 10 March, the High Representative for CFSP, Javier Solana, welcomed the appointment of Kai Eide to the post of Special Representative of the UN Secretary General in Afghanistan. The Norwegian diplomat, who has been an ambassador to NATO and UN representative in Kosovo, will take over from Tom Koenigs from Germany.
