Benita Ferrero-Waldner visits Algeria to prepare for rehaul of Association Agreement

Brussels, 03/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner is visiting Algeria on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 March for talks on application of the EU-Algeria Association Agreement and a potential energy deal. Ferrero-Waldner will also be discussing the EU's immigration and visa policy for Algerian nationals.

The two-day visit follows a visit to Algeria last month by EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson (see EUROPE 9596), who announced his plan to review...
