THE DAY IN POLITICS / (eu) eu/french presidency

08/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - French MEP Alain Lamassoure (EPP-ED) has been charged by President Nicolas Sarkozy with preparing concrete proposals to improve the effective application of Community law for the benefit of citizens. Lamassoure will present his proposals at the end of the first quarter of 2008 so that they can inform the French presidency's work programme in the second half of the year. (H.B.)
