01/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 28 January, the European Commission presented a proposal for a Council regulation imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty and collecting definitively the provisional duty imposed on imports of ferro-silicon originating in the People's Republic of China, Egypt, Kazakhstan, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Russia. Following an investigation opened in August 2007, the Commission concluded that there had been dumping of the product concerned, which caused injury to the Community industry and put provisional measures in place (regulation 994/2007). The continuation of the investigation having confirmed the essential provisional findings, the Commission now proposes to put definitive measures in place. The text of the proposal can found at: http: //eur-lax.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=COM: 2008: 0034: FIN: EN: PDF (O.L.)
