1549 workers from Portuguese automobile sector to benefit from European Globalisation Adjustment Fund aid

Brussels, 30/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission approved a application on Wednesday 30 January for intervention from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) submitted by Portugal to assist 1549 redundant workers in the automobile sector to find employment. This application, the sixth in total, will now be sent to the European Parliament and the Council for a decision.
