15/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament (EP) has invited the Pakistani president, Pervez Musharraf, to speak to the committee on foreign affairs on 21 January at 17: 00. On Monday, as the plenary session in Strasbourg opened, MEPs rejected a proposal from the ALDE group suggesting adoption of an EP resolution after a debate on Wednesday 16 January on the situation in Pakistan.
