10/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - Former Czech Agriculture Minister Milena Vicenová has become the Czech Republic's new permanent representative to the European Union in Brussels, with effect from 7 January 2008, replacing Jan Kohout, who has been appointed Assistant Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs in Prague. Vicenová will chair the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) when the Czech Republic assumes the presidency of the EU in the first half of 2009. (H.B.)
