EU negotiating mandate for Bali should focus on halving global emissions by 2050 - Industrialised countries have moral obligation to help developing countries

Brussels, 16/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Thursday 15 November, the European Parliament set out the position it will be recommending for the EU's strategy at the upcoming UN climate change conference in Bali on 3-14 December 2007, where international negotiations will be launched on combatting climate change post-2012, when the Kyoto Protocol runs out. An official delegation of MEPs will travel to Bali to participate in the ministerial section of the conference, from 11 to 14...
