Brussels, 13/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - European Commissioner for Regional Development Policy Danuta Hübner is one of a group of 21 high-level experts taking part in the Commission on Growth and Development in Suzhou from Monday 12 to Thursday 15 November at the invitation of Zhou Xiaochuan, Governor of the People's Bank of China, the Chinese central bank. The group will meet under the chairmanship of 2001 Nobel Prize Winner in Economics Michael Spence, and will work on a draft final report on driving economic growth and poverty reduction in developing countries. The next meeting of the Commission will take place in Washington in 2008 and the final report will be presented in June of next year.
