17/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - Representatives from 16 industrial sector associations in Europe (cars, wood, paper, cotton, rayon and synthetic fibres, textiles, chemical products, fertilisers, ceramics, carbon and graphite, mines, metals, iron and steel, steel tubing and ferro-alloys) and European and national union federations, such as the ETUC, are participating on 8 November in Brussels in a seminar entitled “Competitiveness in a Global Economy - A Challenge to Trade Discipline”. The seminar aims to assess the impact of last year's EU revision of trade defence instruments carried out by the European Commission. The latter will be presenting its proposals on these subjects on 21 November. (E.H.)
