Green light for Italian state aid for clean lorries

Brussels, 10/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 10 October, the European Commission gave the go-ahead for state investment aid to the Italian company 'Fercam' to help it replace parts of its lorry fleet with new clean vehicles.

Tractors of lorries over 3.5 tonnes will be replaced with new models that comply with the strict 'Euro V' environmental standards, which will start to apply in 2008-2009. The aid will amount to a maximum of 30% of the extra costs incurred for the purchase of a...
