27/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - Following the article published in EUROPE 9493 on the informal meeting of the Environment Council, the Maltese delegation wishes to point out that the Maltese minister for rural affairs and the environment, George Pullicino, did not say he would call on the Agriculture Council to examine metering measures for water used in agriculture. He, in fact, said that “water scarcity and drought should be key considerations in the reform of the CAP”. (an)
