21/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Medicines Agency (EMEA) has decided to recommend that the suspension of the marketing authorisation for Viracept (nelfinavir) from the Swiss laboratory, Roche, should be lifted. Marketing authorisation for Viracept had been suspended and the product withdrawn from the market following the discovery that the product was contaminated by a known genotoxic substance, ethyl mesilate.
