17/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - As part of a European mobility strategy for the sustainable mobility of workers between their homes and places of work, John Monks, Secretary General of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), has suggested that companies over a certain size should be required to appoint a mobility officer and develop mobility plans, involving workers' representatives. The Commission is due to publish a Green Paper on urban transport next week. (gb)
