31/08/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 1 September for four years renewable, the former director of the Department of Science, Technology and Industry at the OECD, Nobuo Tanaka of Japan, is to take over from Claude Mandil of France at the head of the International Energy Agency (IEA). Seventeen EU member states are members of the IEA. (eh)
