22/08/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 7 August 2007 the European Commission authorised the acquisition of Hanson PLC, a British company active in aggregates and other building materials, by HeidelbergCement AG, a German cement producer. After examination, the Commission concluded that the proposed operation would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area. (cd)
