22/08/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 13 August 2007 the European Commission cleared the acquisition of Alpha, a UK provider of aviation support services, by the Italian company Autogrill. Both companies are active in travel retail and concession food services in airports in several EEA countries. After carrying out the examination the Commission concluded that the proposed transaction would not significantly impede effective competition within the EEA. (cd)
