22/08/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 10 August 2007 the European Commission gave clearance to the proposed acquisition of the thermoplastic engineering business of the German company Lanxess by INEOS, a UK based group involved in intermediate and speciality chemicals. The Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the EEA. (cd)
