Brussels, 21/08/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 14 August the Commission approved the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) for Estonia. The Estonian authorities describe how they are going to invest EU funding of € 3.4 billion that they will receive over seven years to deliver growth and jobs to their country. The priorities in the NSRF will be translated into three operational programmes on developing human resources, stimulating the economic environment and improving living conditions. the commission will soon adopt the list of programmes as well as the annual indicative amount for each of the structural funds.
The strategic, thematic and territorial priorities of Estonia are: working people and those in training; an increase in R&D, innovation and company productivity; better communication networks; sustainable development; integral and balanced regional development and an increase in administrative capacities.
