21/08/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 21 August the European Commission added three new denominations for agricultural and food products to the lists of Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) and protected geographical indications (PGI): Italian rice “Riso di Baraggia Beellese e Vercellese” (PDO), Spanish pepper, “Pimentón de la Vera” (PDO), Czech bread “Karlovarsk? suchar” (PGI. 800 European products are protected in the EU under European legisatlion protecting these designations, indications and traditional specialities.
