30/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 30 July, the European Commission adopted a report on the situation as at 31 December 2006 concerning risks covered by the EU budget due to loans and guarantees (loans to non-EU countries, Euratom loans and European Investment Bank loans). The report notes that in 2007, the EU budget will cover total risks of €2.015 billion (the amount of money owed, 40% of which by EU member states). (lc)
