30/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 26 July, the European Commission authorised the planned acquisition of Italian company Invex by US company Superior Essex. Both companies are in the business of wires and cables. The Commission inquiry found that despite the new company's dominant position on the market for round and flat coil wires and continuous transposed cables (CTC), the structure of the market would remain competitive.
