Commission wants to speed up opening of market for mobile TV services

Brussels, 18/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday the Commission adopted a communication in which it unveiled a strategy for supporting the take-up of mobile TV across the EU. The Commission urges Member States and industry to facilitate and accelerate the deployment of mobile TV across Europe and to encourage the use of DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting for Handhelds) as the single European standard.
