22/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - Our article on the meeting between European Commission President José Manuel Barroso and European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) Secretary General John Monks (see EUROPE 9450) contained an error. Mr Barroso supports the Charter of Fundamental Rights and, contrary to what was reported, ensured Mr Monks that he was not going to ask member states to take a minimalist position on the Charter. (gb)
