04/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - A group of MEPs led by the president of the EP's security and defence sub-committee, Karl von Wogau (CDU, Germany), is to visit the 'Nordic Battle Group' in Malmo, Sweden, on 8-9 May. The group was set up by Sweden with the aid of Finland, Norway and Estonia. The Nordic Battle Group of 2400 soldiers is the ground force of the future inter-European armed forces, which will rotate every six months with other Battle Groups.
