Brussels mini-plenary on 9-10 May to discuss Russia, CFSP, transport and regional policy

Brussels, 04/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - The agenda for the European Parliament mini-plenary in Brussels on Wednesday 9 May and Thursday 10 May:

Wednesday 9 May (starting 16: 00): - Statement by Council and Commission on preparations for 18 May EU-Russia summit in Samarra (Russia); - Elmar Brok Report on 2005 annual report on the CFSP; - Michel Rocard Report on reform in the Arab world; - Paolo Costa Report on a posteriori addition of rear-view mirrors on heavy goods vehicles;- Erik Meijer Report on public service obligations in rail and road transport; - Jacques Toubon Report on rules on nominal quantities of pre-packed products; - Malcolm Harbour Report on harmonised delivery of vehicles and trailers; - Filip Kaczmarek Report on the Horn of Africa; - Eugenijus Maldeikis Report on 50 years of the European nuclear energy policy under Euratom; - Diana Wallis Report on protecting the environment from fall-out after the crash of a military plane in Greenland; - Astrid Lulling Report on approximating alcohol excise duties.

Thursday 10 May (starting 9: 00). Joint discussion of regional policy: regional policy and housing (Alfonso Andria Report), impact of Structural Policies on cohesion in the EU (Francisca Pleguezuelos Aguilar Report), how the future regional policy will contribute to the EU's capacity to innovate (Mieczyslaw Edmund Janowski Report).
