26/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 24 April, the European Commission decided to approve the grants which the region of Sicily intends to give to two shipping companies operating public service routes between Sicily and the small Italian islands. The grants, which amount to €1.5 million in total, will cover part of the additional costs resulting from rises in the price of fuel. (cd)
