Commission response to Moscow's requests and also hopes to get embargo on Polish meat lifted

Brussels, 30/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 30 March, the European Commission announced that it had sent a series of documents to the Russian authorities, in order to reassure Moscow as to the hygiene of agricultural and vegetable products within the EU (EUROPE 9389). The services of Commissioner Markos Kyprianou believe that the responses it has provided should convince Russia to lift the embargo it has had in place since November 2005 on meats and agro-food products from Poland....
